Phil - pastel

Did this a few years ago. Phil was a great model, could sit for an hour and never move - amazing.

Derek - Watercolor

Derek is Mary's partner in life, they are an interesting English couple.

Lynn - graphite & conte

A fellow artist deep in thought.

Bates Beach Boat - Watercolor Collage

Took a picture of this boat half filled with water on a winter's day. I struggled with the negative space so reverted to collage and it became a fun painting.

Mary - Watercolor

Did this from a photo taken on Cortez Island during a field trip with the Camera Club. It's my first portrait in watercolors.

Arbutus Study #3 - Acrylic

Being surrounded by a group of Arbutus trees is a delightful experience, the color and form are very inviting.

Down's Point - Acrylic

There is an artist preserve on Hornby Island where this painting was inspired. The ocean winds transform the trees.
